The Shenandoah Christian Alliance (SCA) is commencing a 26-week campaign of powerful emails to help as many pastors, ministers, priests, rabbis, and church leaders as we possibly can identify: encouraging them to stand in the gap.
These emails will all have a central theme and a singular objective: to educate, support, motivate, and inspire with up-to-date cultural information that is both factual, and actionable in their content. America is in trouble. Our communities are facing disaster. The safety and welfare of our friends, our neighbors, and our families hangs in the balance.
The Central Theme
We genuinely believe the only guaranteed way our nation —and by extension—our community, our friends, and our future will survive, is a return to the Christian/Biblical values upon which America was founded. It is only by the intervention of our Almighty God upon whose word it was established, and for which He blessed this nation for over 240 years, can America continue to be “the shining city on a hill.” We, believe His Church must be willing to welcome Him back into our government, into our schools, into our courts, into our families… and of course, into our congregations.
The Singular Objective
This email campaign must generate an election day turnout of informed voters (and to be clear, informed by their pastors) in such overwhelming numbers, that God fearing representatives are elected, who in turn will legislate for better days for our families, our neighbors, and for future generations.
Why This Campaign, and Why Now
We pray this campaign will be a wake-up call to our Pastors to speak from the pulpit about the terrible drift from the Biblical values that have been woven into the fabric of our Republic from the beginning; denouncing the increasing number of Godless State and Federal representative’s rebellion against life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These values have been replaced with abortion rights, gay rights, and even new definitions of sexual identity.
When this nation became hysterical over a new virus, we discovered how easy it is to lose our liberties, our livelihoods, and our freedoms through arbitrary and impulsive government decrees. We now know how vulnerable we are when we trust only in “chariots and horses,” and not in God.
At SCA, we do not yet believe it is too late for our pastors to draw a line in the sand, and to inspire their flocks, and to confront their congregations with probing messages for contending with dark forces and factions in the upcoming election this November.
You Can Make the Difference, Because You Are the Difference
The church can, and must be the difference in the direction this country will take. Because we believe voting is not optional, but a sacred privilege, it should be a civic duty that we as believers and as citizens of the freest nation on earth must honor.
“If we as Christians do not speak out as authoritarian governments grow from within or come from outside, eventually we or our children will be the enemy of society and the state.” (Francis Schaeffer)
We cannot think by staying on the path we are already on we can still be a pleasing fragrance to the Lord our God. The choice is stark and terrible: we can be enemies of the state, or enemies of God.
These emails will be aided by the tools we are developing online: our website, our social media, and with news releases and literature to study, consider, and pray over for the next 26 weeks until election day.
